Learn how you could make a huge impact on youth and prep baseball in the Appleton West Community!
We appreciate the opportunity to tell you more about our Appleton West Baseball Club Capital Fundraising Project. The project’s scope and our giving guidelines can be seen below and in a PDF hand out at the bottom of this page.
We have found a significant need within the Appleton West High School Community for additional facilities for our youth and our high school baseball teams. As you may know, Appleton West High School does not have a baseball field on its campus. They utilize Nienhaus Field (Formerly known as Goodland Field) for their practices and games. All other High Schools in the Appleton Area School District have two full size fields on campus to utilize for practices and games. AWBC, Inc. will support the teams by building and upgrading additional practice facilities that are in close proximity to Appleton West High School. We also provide summer baseball leagues, tournaments, and training that benefit our members. We know that by providing this space, we can ease the stress on the players, parents, and coaches.
The total fundraising goal is $160,000. We have already received tremendous support from the Town of Grand Chute. The Grand Chute Parks Department and Town Board have maintained and made many improvements to the back stop, infields, dugouts, and spectator areas. Our club has raised money for architectural plans, mound, batter's box, and warning track improvements. In addition, we have raised money for the installation of electronic score boards. For the 2021 season, our plan calls for dugout covers, and batting cages. Upon the completion of this project, Appleton West High School players and the surrounding community youth players will have practice fields and training facilities that are on par with the rest of our area high schools.
UPDATE - SINCE INCEPTION IN 2018, WE HAVE RAISED APPROXIMATELY $27,000.00
We truly appreciate your consideration of making a donation to the fund and help us make a difference in the development of our Appleton West Terrors Baseball Program. Please remember we are a registered 501 (c) (3), all donations are tax deductible. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Pat Collar or Andy Henkel. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.

AWBC's goal has always been to help raise the funds necessary for uniforms, league fees, equipment, as well as capital improvements of playing fields. We believe it is important to ensure the club’s sustainability for many years to come – with a goal of reducing/eliminating participation costs to ensure that we can offer our baseball program to youth players from all economic backgrounds.
